Errol Pinto

Global CCS Institute

Errol Pinto is the Senior Consultant Policy and Commercial at the Global CCS Institute. Errol is
an energy sector expert skilled across the energy value chain with competencies in natural resource
development, policy, strategy, and project delivery.

Prior to joining the Institute, Errol worked in the private sector for nearly 20 years at international
energy companies; BP, BHP, and Shell. His key accomplishments include leading CCS projects
while incorporating commercial, economic, technical, and operational feasibility within the US
policy framework, identifying risks and opportunities with new market entries, interfacing with
governmental stakeholders, and developing sustainable policy solutions.

Errol brings an insider’s working knowledge of energy and climate policy in support of the Paris
Agreement and the Glasgow Climate Pact. Errol holds an MA in International Business and Policy
from Georgetown University, an MBA from Duke University, an MS in Industrial Engineering
from the Pennsylvania State University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian
Institute of Technology Delhi
