Georgia Knackstedt has worked in most aspects of pipeline and rights-of-way since 2005, spanning specialties such as construction and vegetation management to easement and real property acquisitions. Throughout her career she has had the privilege of working with some of the brightest and most talented individuals in the industry and participated in unique projects that contributed to her catalog of specialized proficiencies. Georgia is currently positioned as a pipeline subject matter expert at the US Department of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations by providing insight and guidance on pipeline and rights-of-way for the Carbon Capture Demonstrations Program. Georgia transferred to OCED after spending two years working for DOE’s Western Area Power Administration, one of DOE’s four Power Marketing Administrations. While at WAPA, Georgia spent her time cooperating and negotiating with other federal and tribal entities on WAPA’s Integrated Vegetation Management program and acquired or re-established land rights for WAPA. Prior to federal service, Georgia worked in the private sector for oil and gas midstream and E&P companies all over the country and water municipalities in the Rocky Mountain Region acquiring land rights, leasing, supporting construction activities, and clearing rights-of-way. Georgia graduated from the University of Colorado, Denver with a Master of Science in Global Energy Management.
